What We Will Not Do
We won't tell you a repair is needed when it isn't. A lot of the houses out here were built between 1968 and 2000, and a good share of the springs and openers from that era are still working fine, they just need a tune-up, not a replacement. If your door is sagging because of a bent track, we fix the track. We don't upsell a new opener because it's easier for us to sell one.
We also don't guess at parts. If we don't have the right torsion spring or the matching drum on the truck for an older door, we say so and we order it rather than jamming in something close enough that'll fail again in six months.
We don't do new home construction or garage additions, that's a different trade with different permitting, and we'd rather send you to someone who does that work daily than do it badly ourselves. And we don't quote a job over the phone without seeing the door. Spring sizing, cable wear, and track alignment vary enough house to house around Lake Stevens that a phone guess is often wrong.
The Work We Take On
Most of our calls are springs, openers, cables, rollers, and panel damage on residential doors, and a fair number of them are on houses built in the 1980s and 90s, the bulk of what's out there across the 33 named areas in this part of the county. That means a lot of galvanized torsion springs rated for a specific door weight, older chain-drive openers that are past due for a swap, and steel panels that have started to rust at the bottom seam from years of Pacific Northwest damp.
We work on single and double residential doors, garage door openers, broken springs, off-track doors, bent panels, and worn rollers and cables. We service homes in Lake Stevens and out toward Machias, Lochsloy, and Snohomish, and we'll travel farther out toward Granite Falls or Cathcart depending on the job.
We don't do commercial rolling steel doors or high-cycle industrial hardware, different spring systems, different safety requirements, and not what we carry parts for. If that's what you need, we'll tell you plainly instead of taking the job anyway.
What Happens After You Call
You call the number, you talk to a person, and we ask what the door is doing, won't open, won't close, makes a noise, came off the track. That tells us roughly what's wrong before anyone drives out. We work out of 100 South Davies Road, so if you're in Lake Stevens or nearby in Lochsloy or Snohomish, that's a short drive for us.
On site, we check the springs, the cables, the track alignment, and the opener before we say what needs doing. If it's a straightforward spring replacement, we usually carry the sizes that fit doors from this area's housing stock and can do the job the same visit. If it's a less common part, an old opener model or a discontinued track hardware set, we'll be upfront that it needs to be ordered and give you a timeline instead of a promise we can't keep.

Will you replace my opener if it's just the remote acting up?
No. If it's a dead battery, a bad remote, or a sensor knocked out of alignment, we fix that specific part. We don't replace a working opener to pad the invoice.
